By Dec. 20, 2016, multichannel video programming distributors (MVPDs) must be in compliance with new rules under the 21st Century Communications and Video Accessibility Act (CVAA). The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) announced these rules--collectively referred to as the Second CVAA Order--in late 2015, further implementing accessibility objectives established in the 21st CVAA (passed by Congress in 2010).
